Prior to that, John was the Managing Director of Impact Employee Communications, an Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide Company, which he co-founded in 1996 having identified the opportunity to significantly improve the success of important company initiatives through improved internal communication. Katie joined Ogilvy PR Australia in March 2007 and leads the Responsible Brands practice, counselling clients on social responsibility initiatives and crisis and issues management. She has extensive experience in both Europe and Australia on global brands such as Unilever, Bluescope Steel, KFC, Johnson & Johnson, Coca-Cola, Mercedes-Benz and Reckitt Benckiser as well as local clients such as the Queensland Government and organisations such as the Australian Red Cross Blood Service. Katie has managed and resolved issues and crises for companies across different industries. This has included issues surrounding product or brand integrity, company restructuring, product recalls, negative clinical trial findings, activist protests, and Senate Inquiries. As well as helping companies manage incidents and resolve such crises, Katie has also spent considerable time helping companies recognise the issues they face and prepare plans to negate them, develop national and global crisis management plans, and trained them in crisis preparedness. |
